Happy Father's Day

Greetings to all of my friends who are dads. I hope you all had a wonderful day. We wish we could be with all of our children on these special days but that is not always possible. At the end of the day which is upon us presently in N.W. Montana we just rejoice that are children our in love with Jesus and attempting to make a difference for the kingdom. We have tried just like all of you to train them up in the ways of the Lord. We have failed on many fronts,but God in His grace has seen fit to draw them to Himself. I want to encourage any of you younger dads out there to enjoy the moments you have with your children. I can't even begin to tell you how fleeting the days are in retrospect.There is no career that will fill the  void that your children were designed to suffice. If any of your children have strayed presently I would  remind you that God is faithful and His love is a pursuing love. Keep praying and if you let us know we will pray with you. We cannot make them manifest their personal faith,but the prayer of a righteous man avails much. Keep an open heart and a open door. I was given those word by a dear friend many years ago in a time when I had lost heart and God used it in my life. They need to know we love them.
I want to send out a special greeting to all our peeps in Florida. We miss you all so much! We are adjusting to  life in the mountains. We enjoy the student here very much. Young people with a passion are contagious. The staff here are very sweet as well. We hope to get back this fall with Andy and Kendyl getting married. We love you all , Jim

Jesus the perfect fit.

Hebrews 7:25,26
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
For such a High Priest was fitting for us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds  I will remember no more."

 There is no better arrangement in all the universe than this!  At our worst He will give us His best. He will make no reference to our past ,but will gladly refer us to the Father of all mercies.

“Grace is love that cares and stoops and rescues.” -John R. W. Stott

 Good Morning friends- Pastor Mike McClure shared with us last night at our evening service out of Psalm 40. He addressed Waiting on the Lord,Witnessing for the Lord, and Warfare that accompanies them both. He shared the progression of spending time with the Lord leads to spontaneous sharing of your faith,as out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths speak. Paul said a great and effectual door has opened for us, but there is much adversity. Warfare is often just a sign we are on the winning team,and God is being effective in our midst,or God in His love just wants to make us more than we are presently. Mike put the challenge out to us if we knew we had one year left to live for the Lord  what might we change to be more useful for the kingdom? A sobering thought worth reflecting on. I remember reading an interview with Edith Schaeffer the wife of Francis Schaeffer in which she was asked if she knew the Lord was returning the next day what would she do.Her response was I would work in my garden. Her answer displayed a women secure in her relationship with the Lord finding and reflecting Christ in whatever was set before her. May God give us the grace to do the same,and may He be our overwhelming desire today,as we wait for Him to return for us. Thank you Pastor Mike for the Word .

6-6-11

This is a little take from Roy Hession's book "We Would See Jesus'. It encouraged me and I hope it encourages you as well. Grace permits us to come (nay,demands that we come) as empty sinners to be blessed, empty of right feelings, good character, and satisfactory record,with nothing to commend ourselves but our deep need, fully and frankly acknowledged. Then grace, being what it is, is drawn by the need to satisfy it just as water is drawn to depth that it might fill it. This means that when at last we are content to find no merit nor procuring cause in ourselves, and our willing to admit the full extent of our sinfulness, then there is no limit to what God will do for the poor that look to Him in their nothingness. If what we receive from God is dependent, even to a small extent, on what we are or do, then the most we can expect is but an intermittent trickle of blessing.
